There's so much happening in this awesome  community, it's hard to keep track of it all sometimes. Hope to see everyone either at the Bowling Pajama Party or out at the Xmas Tree Burn this weekend!

B.U.R.N. Art Grants 2012
SPRING CYCLE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Applications Close on March 11th

B.U.R.N. is thrilled to announce our FOURTH YEAR of art grant distribution through our independent Art Grants Committee. We will once again have a Spring, a Summer, and a Fall Cycle, and your work
will be appearing at events frequented by Chicago-area burners, like Lakes of Fire, Decompression, the Burning Man Project, Resonate, the We Burn Art Show, and others.

Our Spring Cycle is NOW OPEN. So if you're thinking about bringing a project to one of these events, and would like some money to get it going, please consider checking out B.U.R.N.'s Art Grant  Policies, found here: http://boldurban.org/2011/01/art-grant-policies/ . Start planning and putting together your project, and be sure to have it in by March 11, 2012, or your application will be rolled into the next admission deadline!

After the last tree has been torched, we're encouraging everyone to join us at a local Super 8 motel in Sawyer, MI, and we'll provide a comprehensive local van service to and from it. We absolutely insist that you do not drink and drive, and the van service should help you in that. TIP THE DRIVER! The van service is for everyone who uses the hotel. Mention the Xmas Tree Burn to Prakash Patel or his employees at the Super 8 Motel, and you'll get a discount!

BURNING MAN 2012 TICKET INFORMATION
News from the Burning Man HQ (The full story is available here:http://tickets.burningman.com/):

THE BASICS:
In an effort to create equal opportunity for participants to purchase tickets for Burning Man 2012, tickets will be sold via three different methods. There will be two rounds of tickets provided by a random selection process, followed by one round of open ticket sales. We will also again offer a low income ticket program through special application. More information about the low income program will be posted soon.

I.   SORRY, PRE-SALE TICKETS COMPLETED.
II.  SORRY, REGISTRATION THE MAIN "TIERED SALE" IS NOW OVER.
 • Those who are awarded tickets will receive notification on or before February 1 via email that their credit cards have been charged for their tickets and at which pricing tier.
 • Any remaining tickets not claimed in the Main Sale will be moved into the allotment for the Secondary Open Sale.

III.  SECONDARY OPEN SALE -- 10,000 TICKETS (INCLUDING ANY REMAINING TICKETS FROM MAIN SALE) – MARCH 28 2012 -- $390 + s/h -- LIMIT 4 PER PERSON
 • Once "lotteries" are completed, 10,000 tickets will be held aside for open sale, plus any unclaimed tickets from the Main Sale.
• These tickets will be sold until they are gone.
* Burning Man is setting up its own face-value resale site, which will be opening soon. Stay tuned for more info.
